ABQ CitySeeker: ABQNews: School Board Should Make Condoms Available In Schools

This is dumb. If they want to be sexually active then they need to furnish the condom. We don't furnish alcohol to drunks. The tax payers should not be liable for condoms. If you can't afford them, then don't have sex. Free condoms are at all local health departments.

No moment of silence because you might pray at school but let's start handing out condom so dumb kids can be safe as they continue to have sex. Kids will find away to have sex, you say, well murderers will kill but we don't hand out sleeping pills at the police dept. to make it easier for the victims.

Just to recap: "The pediatricians say studies show the availability of condoms does not increase sexual activity but can decrease unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV."

Thank you for an intelligent and balanced analysis of an issue few seem to be able to address rationally.

HIV is hitting the younger generation and the generation of elders the hardest. People in their 50's and older are contracting HIV HETEROSEXUALLY and are placed on therapy that does a lot of harsh things to their bodies that are less resilient to changes.
Young people are starting out in their sexual lives, when cheating - even between partners that are married, is the highest... and bringing home to the unsuspecting wife and to the unsuspecting husband the "gift" of HIV, a cocktail of daily "must-take" drugs and a shortened life is now the consequence the VICTIM of the infidelity must endure.
Young people have sex. Young people cheat. YOU probably cheated at one time. Let's limit how many young people have to get disease because their partner cheated. Let's maximize the number of teenagers and young adults that can have a child without risking passing on HIV to that child. It's a public health issue, and therefore a moral issue - not the other way around.
